Great strength. Special primers with microparticles of corundum, which is called artificial diamond for its hardness, give the coating a wear resistance ten times higher than traditional polyurethane varnishes.
High chemical resistance. Due to the completely closed pores of the wood and the thickness of the lacquer film, the coating provides the best protection against household solvents and active food substances such as coffee, wine, etc.
Durability. The top lacquer layer is created on the basis of cross-linked polymers, a new generation of materials using nanotechnology. They give the coating a special resistance to abrasion, while maintaining its high elasticity.
Expressiveness. A special wood tinting technology emphasizes the contrast and expressiveness of the lacquer finished texture pattern of natural wood fibers.
Environmentally friendly. The Lacquer Finish does not contain solvents and volatile components.
Lacquer Finish, apart from regular maintenance, does not need any special maintenance or restoration during its entire service life.
Regular maintenance consists of daily cleaning (if necessary) of dust and sand with a vacuum cleaner, followed by a damp cleaning with Coswick Cleaner for lacquered hardwood floors or similar products.
Repair. Due to the exceptionally high strength of the lacquer coating, the repair of damaged planks is carried out in a specific way. In case of minor damage to the surface of the planks, the repair can be carried out with refractory waxes using the Coswick Repair kit Profi. In case of significant damage, it is easier to replace the plank.
Lacquered parquet floors can be installed in residential and public buildings.
When choosing a flooring with a Lacquer Finish, a number of features should be taken into account.
1) Unlike Silk Finish, the Lacquer Finish has an absolutely flat surface with closed pores of wood, so dents from metal stiletto heels or heavy objects falling on it are more noticeable. However, this does not affect the durability of the coating, since due to its elasticity it does not lead to damage and cracking.
2) In conditions of high humidity or during short-term flooding, when expansion and shifts occur in the wood itself, microcracks may form on the varnish film along the wood fibers. With timely treatment with water-repellent protective compounds, they do not affect the service life of the coating and the parquet floor itself. However, lacquered parquet floors are not recommended for installation in unheated rooms or rooms with uncontrolled humidity.
For public spaces with heavy loads, as well as premium facilities, such as hotel complexes, restaurants, offices, clubs, boutiques, we suggest using CosNanoTech + com reinforced commercial lacquer with a matt sheen. Due to the increased content of corundum microparticles, it is even more wear resistant and better withstands high loads without abrasion.
The lacquer has a wear guarantee. The guarantee means that the factory-applied lacquer coating will not wear out (will not be erased) and will not separate from the wood during the full warranty period, provided that all rules of use and requirements for flooring care are observed.
Warranty periods:
- 25 years — for Lacquer Finish during the use of flooring in residential premises;
- 35 years — for CosNanoTech+com commercial lacquer finish when using flooring in residential premises;
